Do we use organic ingredients?

We shop directly at the farmers' market. Although not all of our ingredients are certified organic, we pride ourselves in knowing as much as possible about where our food comes from and we want you to know what we know!

How we choose our ingredients?

Love and care are behind every ingredient we use! Take our dairy, for example – we're big fans of Straus Creamery's top-notch products, so instead of making our own yogurt, we partner with them. Our grains are straight from Koda Farm, where they blend heritage with sustainable practices like pros. And our Persian ingredients? They come straight from Iran, thanks to Asad Agah, who used to be a rug dealer in Iran. Oh, and by the way, what we love most about him is that he submits invoices in Farsi!

Can the glass jars and plastic containers be recycled?

A big reason why we chose this specific vessel is not only because we find it uniquely beautiful but also because it offers versatility for repurposing. Some fun ways we think you can reuse it include for wine, water, candle making, googly eyes, pins, pencils, coins, Q-tips, spices, feathers—anything you can think of!

I love your products. Do you ship out of state?

At the moment, we are working on creating an online commerce platform for Tah-digz, which we will start shipping to all states. Our dips and spreads are perishable, we are figuring out the best avenue for shipping refrigerated goods!

Where do you produce your products?

All of our products are made by hand in a Certified Kitchen in San Francisco, CA.

How long do Tavus dips and spreads last?

All of our ingredients are fresh, with no added preservatives. We recommend consuming our dips and spreads within five days of opening. Each product is marked with a ‘Made By’ and 'Use By' date. However, we guarantee they won't last that long in your fridge!

What is the main difference Tavus Dips & Spreads- Bademjun, Labou Maust vs. Muhmmara, Hummus, Babaganoush, and Tzatiki?

Despite originating from different countries and being associated with different languages, these ancient traditions all share a common thread—they are cooked with love. In our view, Persian Dips and Spreads may not be as widely recognized in grocery stores and farmers markets because, they are primarily prepared at home by mothers and grandmothers or found in Persian restaurants. Our goal is to change that and uplift this market.
